The event was to celebrate the launch on May 1st of a new edition of some of Grandpa’s short stories ( all previously published) entitled ‘A Renegade in springtime’. The party was given by and at the home of the publisher Stephen Stuart Smith. His company is called Enitharmon. Present at the party included Alan Walker who wrote the introduction to the new collection and who is also writing a biography, Chloe Greenwood who is Stephen’s assistant and Frank Kermode who is/was a professor of English at Cambridge University and is probably the foremost literary critic in England.
